Mr. Hanitchak (Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma) is a 'cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College. Mr. Hanitchak is the current Director of the Native American
Program at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and has been so since 1995. He is also a visiting instructor in Native American Studies since 1993. Michael
chairs the Native American Council at Dartmouth College and sits on the Governing Board of the National Institute for Native Leadership in Higher Education
(NINLHE). He has been a member of the Native American Visiting Committee at Dartmouth College reporting directly to the President of the College. Michael
previously served as Acting Assistant Director of Admissions, with special responsibilities for Native American recruitment (1983 and 1985); and as Assistant
to the Director of Admissions (1974-1978). Michael worked for two years as a member of the Enrollment Advisory Committee at the Saginaw Chippewa
Tribe.
